Become an AFCI Member

The Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute is a non-profit national organization established to extend professional acupuncture education to health practitioners. Our focus is on high standards of professional integrity and enhanced patient care. We also believe in and promote the benefits of inter-professional collaboration, providing a platform for dialogue and a breadth of learning among colleagues.

AFCI’s unique, anatomically-oriented and classically-based approach to the teaching of acupuncture is highly esteemed. Incorporating ancient, time-tested practices into modern western medicine in a format combining distance education with in-class sessions, our trainings are known for their clarity in both process and content, allowing graduates to see immediate results in their clinical practices. To register for our first course, AA1: Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture, does not require AFCI membership. This policy allows students to experience one of our courses and meet our faculty. Prior to registering for AA2 and beyond, participants must first register for AFCI Membership.

Benefits of Being an AFCI Member

As an AFCI member, you will be joining an Institute that is recognized and highly regarded by practitioners, health associations, and insurance companies. AFCI has an established reputation that comes from well over 30 years of offering acupuncture training in Canada.

You will also be eligible to take any of our courses, including special seminars that are added to the regularly scheduled courses. Email notifications will be sent to you about all upcoming AFCI events. You will also be eligible to participate in the AFCI Governance, by attending annual meetings and offering to play a role in the Board or a Committee.

AFCI Members also have their own website which is a place to stay connected! Meet colleagues, discuss issues of concern to you, be linked in to current research and updated about AFCI news.

deepen and integrate acupuncture into your health practice.
